About Thomas A. Sprung
As President of Sprung Construction, Inc., Thomas A. Sprung has long been a fixture in Denver construction.
Incorporated in 1985, Sprung has renovated and restored many of Colorado’s finest historic structures, including 1301 Wazee Lofts, 1517 Blake Street, 1538 Wazee Street, 1818 Blake Street,
Benjamin Moore Lofts, American National Bank Bldg & Annex, Buerger Brothers Lofts, Chamber Building Lofts, Clock Tower Lofts, Colorado Business Bank, McClintock Building and Tappan Block.
The company has developed some of Denver’s more interesting, innovative, and sustainable high-end custom homes and commercial spaces. From core and shell to tenant finish, retail, restaurants, mixed-use, and work/live spaces, Sprung has utilized environmentally friendly, green practices and materials to build visually appealing, structurally sound, and energy efficient properties.
Originally from New York, Tom moved to Denver in 1972 and by the late 1970s, employed 25 journeymen carpenters as part of Thomas Sprung Construction, performing carpentry services, structural framing, exterior and interior trim, on custom and production homes. During the 1980s, the company expanded to offer general contracting services on custom homes and historic restorations.
In 1988, Tom Sprung founded a small development company to purchase, renovate, and restore historic warehouse properties from dilapidated vacant structures to active use. Since that time, Tom has successfully redeveloped properties in Lower Downtown Denver, The Upper Larimer Neighborhood of Denver, and Leadville, CO.
Tom Sprung holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from The University of Denver. An environmentally friendly builder, Sprung Construction is a member of the
